Madden 25: All Superstar X-Factors & What They Do (2024)

Quick Links

  • Every X-Factor Effect

  • All Top Athletes With X-Factor Abilities

  • Every Superstar Player Without X-Factors

X-Factors are unique, passive buffs applied to only the best athletes in Madden NFL 25, with all the game's greatest superstars receiving at least one bonus. Only a few select players get X-Factors, so it can be hard to tell which competitors are blessed with these unique buffs. Those looking to assemble the strongest possible team will want to know who has an X-Factor and who doesn't.

It won't always be the toughest or fastest players in Madden 25 who have X-Factors. Superstars with these qualities are usually determined by the overall score of all their stats combined, rather than one stand-out trait. X-Factors aren't limited to teams, as you could have multiple superstar players with a bonus from the same organization.

Know What Different Buffs Do

Madden 25: All Superstar X-Factors & What They Do (2)

In total, there are 28 different X-Factors that a superstar athlete could have to impact their skills during a game. Some range from simple buffs like perfect passing on any throw for a quarterback to bonuses that activate under certain conditions. X-Factors are typically tied to specific positions, making some likely to appear on the offensive side of the ball while others operate best on defense.

Some X-Factors do not explicitly say that they work for a single position, but the abilities they provide may only be applicable to one possible role on the field.

Every Superstar Player Without X-Factors

Know What Else Strong Athletes Bring To The Table

As you can see in the above video by YouTube creator CBzay, some X-Factors are more common on top players than others. However, there are even more athletes than the ones listed who have natural talent without X-Factors. These players are called superstars, who have skills that are stronger than their base stats, making them stronger than the average player even without a special passive bonus.

Superstar athletes should not be confused with the Superstar mode in Madden 25 where you create a custom character to compete through the professional league.

The other athletes in the game who are considered superstars include:

  • DJ Moore (WR - Bears)
  • D'Andre Swift (HB - Bears)
  • Trey Hendrickson (RE - Bengals)
  • Amari Cooper (WR - Browns)
  • David Njoku (TE - Browns)
  • Za'Darius Smith (LE - Browns)
  • Wyatt Teller (RG - Browns)
  • Denzel Ward (CB - Browns)
  • Chris Godwin (WR - Buccaneers)
  • Vita Vea (DT - Buccaneers)
  • Antoine Winfield (FS - Buccaneers)
  • Tristan Wirfs (RT - Buccaneers)
  • Budda Baker (SS - Cardinals)
  • Joey Bosa (LOLB - Chargers)
  • Justin Herbert (QB - Chargers)
  • Khalil Mack (ROLB - Chargers)
  • Creed Humphrey (C - Chiefs)
  • Isiah Pacheco (HB - Chiefs)
  • DeForest Buckner (DT - Colts)
  • Quenton Nelson (LG - Colts)
  • Jonathan Taylor (HB - Colts)
  • Austin Ekeler (HB - Commanders)
  • Terry McLaurin (WR - Commanders)
  • Trevon Diggs (CB - Cowboys)
  • DaMarcus Lawrence (LE - Cowboys)
  • Dak Prescott (QB - Cowboys)
  • Zack Martin (RG - Cowboys)
  • Terron Armstead (LT - Dolphins)
  • Tua Tagovaiola (QB - Dolphins)
  • Raheem Mostert (QB - Dolphins)
  • Jordan Poyer (SS - Dolphins)
  • Jaylen Waddle (WR - Dolphins)
  • Jalen Carter (RE - Eagles)
  • Lane Johnson (RT - Eagles)
  • DeVonta Smith (WR - Eagles)
  • Matthew Judon (LOLB - Falcons)
  • Chris Lindstorm (RG - Falcons)
  • Bijan Robinson (HB - Falcons)
  • Justin Simmons (FS - Falcons)
  • AJ Terrell Jr (CB - Falcons)
  • Brandon Aiyuk (WR - 49ers)
  • Kyle Juszczyk (FB - 49ers)
  • Brock Purdy (QB - 49ers)
  • Trent Williams (LT - 49ers)
  • Brian Burns (ROLB - Giants)
  • Travis Etienne Jr (HB - Jaguars)
  • Evan Engram (TE - Jaguars)
  • Foyesade Oluokun (ROLB - Jaguars)
  • Trevor Lawrence (QB - Jaguars)
  • Brandon Scherff (RG - Jaguars)
  • Breece Hall (WR - Jets)
  • Haason Reddick (DE - Jets)
  • Aaron Rodgers (QB - Jets)
  • Tyron Smith (LT - Jets)
  • Mike Williams (WR - Jets)
  • Quinnen Williams (DT - Jets)
  • Aidan Hutchinson (DE - Lions)
  • Sam LaPorta (TE - Lions)
  • Frank Ragnow (C - Lions)
  • Penei Sewell (RT - Lions)
  • Kenny Clark (DT - Packers)
  • Rashan Gary (LOLB - Packers)
  • Josh Jacobs (HB - Packers)
  • Derrick Brown (RE - Panthers)
  • Puka Nucua (WR - Rams)
  • Kyren Williams (HB - Rams)
  • Ronnie Stanley (LT - Ravens)
  • Marlon Humphrey (CB - Ravens)
  • Justin Tucker (K - Ravens)
  • Chase Young (CB - Saints)
  • Kenneth Walker III (HB - Seahawks)
  • Minkah Fitzpatrick (FS - Steelers)
  • Nico Collins (WR - Texans)
  • Danielle Hunter (RE - Texans)
  • CJ Stroud (QB - Texans)
  • Laremy Tunsil (LT - Texans)
  • Jeffery Simmons (RE - Titans)
  • TJ Hockenson (TE- Vikings)
  • Aaron Jones (HB - Vikings)
  • Harrison Smith (SS - Vikings)

As you carefully select players for your ideal team, look into what any superstar athlete's smaller passive skills might bring to the table. Although smaller in scale compared to X-Factors, these traits will still put superstars above other players in the league. All superstar players, with or without an X-Factor, could be the perfect addition to your squad in Madden NFL 25.
